The time of unchecked major mayor gluttony is nigh. Run for the hills! And bring some ale with yer!
If all goes to plan, the Farmers Faire starts this week. For more than three weeks, Bywater will be a festering pool of chaos, noise and screaming people running around inside the Green Dragon, while the mayor eats all the food. Which is no good recipe for a relaxing night at the inn.
So, we’ll do like we usually do: Take Green Dragon Friday (GDF) elsewhere these weeks, while hoping there will be no silly event encores this year.
Thus, the plan is as follows:
- Floating Log Friday in Frogmorton, Friday August 14
- Bird and Baby Friday in Michel Delving, Friday August 21
- Roaring Bull Friday in Long Cleeve, Yondershire, Friday August 28
- Golden Perch Friday in Stock, Friday September 4

Green Dragon Friday is an in-character roleplaying event aiming to replicate a lively hobbit night at the inn. To help us do this, please follow these guidelines:
- Be in-character, by acting and behaving like hobbits in the Shire would. Avoid talking about real-life issues ((even in brackets)).
- Be a hobbit, since GDF is primarily a hobbit RP event. A few travelling dwarves are always welcome at the Green Dragon, but for lore reasons we ask that men and elves do not attend the event.
- Be friendly, mature and come to have fun together with others.
- GDF is held in English
Lastly, don't worry too much! Them hobbits are a friendly and tolerant lot, eager to welcome new visitors to the inn. See yer there!
